What our customers say
Trusted by wooden boat owners across the River Thames.
Bates Star Craft
Debbie R.
"Chris and his team came to the rescue of our baby Bates — the smallest of the fleet. My husband was pressure washing the hull when we noticed some holes had appeared, which turned out to be a lot of rot. Chris was recommended to me, and with just weeks before our memorial service for my dad, John Bates, with us leading the 13 other Star Craft, he jumped into action, working day and night to get her ready in time. My grandfather would be proud of the work that Chris has done, and I can honestly say the workmanship is superb. I highly recommend anyone to use C&M."
Sudena
Barrie H.
"Chris, Malcolm and the team are true craftsmen. They have repainted Sudena's hull, varnished the transom and when I pulled a P bracket through her hull with a mislaid rope, they came to her repair and she is now stronger than before. Thanks guys for your skill and dedication to keeping these classic boats going."
Margot II
David K.
"Following a survey where some soft planks were found, the team at C&M, at very short notice, were able to arrange for Margo II to be lifted out and the work was completed in less than a week — allowing us to join other Dunkirk Little Ships in St. Katharine Docks for the Coronation weekend."
Shirley-Ann
Luke B.
"We were lucky enough to find the team at C&M a few years ago and they did a huge amount of work on our boat which we were delighted with. Chris and Malcolm are always on hand to offer advice and tips and are just genuinely great guys who really know and love their trade!"
Bates Star Craft
Matthew M.
"I was delighted with C&M's work on our Bates Star Craft. They completely re-clad the mahogany superstructure and she's looked fantastic ever since. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services to anyone that needs their special skills and attention to keep these delightful boats looking the way they should."
