Dunkirk Little Ships
Restoration Specialists
Experience you can trust.
We don't just restore Dunkirk Little Ships, we know them. Malcolm has personally restored two registered Dunkirk vessels of his own, and over the years, many others have come through our yard including Quisisana, Deenar, L'orage, Margot II, Nydia, Charles Cooper Henderson, Miss Margate, Lady Sylvia and more.
These aren't boats we've read about - they're boats we've worked on with our own hands, and we understand the significance of every one.

What is a Dunkirk Little Ship?
HERITAGE RESTORATION
In May and June 1940, with over 300,000 Allied troops trapped on the beaches of Dunkirk, the British government put out an urgent call.
Owners of small privately-owned vessels, pleasure boats, fishing craft, river launches were asked to cross the English Channel and help bring the soldiers home.
More than 800 boats answered. Together with the Royal Navy they rescued around 338,000 troops. It became known as the Miracle of Dunkirk.
Over 250 of those vessels were lost. Of those that survived, a small number remain registered with the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships today, each one verified as having taken part in Operation Dynamo.

Personal Connection
A passion, not just a profession.
For Malcolm, Dunkirk Little Ships have never been just a category of work. He has personally restored two registered Dunkirk vessels of his own: Nydia & White Wing - which means when a vessel comes into our yard, he understands it from the inside out, not just as a craftsman but as an owner.
